Bees for Development began work 22 years ago, proving that beekeeping is a feasible, sustainable, and environmentally-beneficial way to help people out of poverty, while also maintaining biodiversity. We focus on simple methods of sustainable beekeeping - best for bees and best for people. We have helped many thousands of remote and poor families to earn essential income to meet their basic needs. We have worked directly in more than 50 countries, and currently support projects in Cameroon, Ethiopia, Ghana and Uganda.
We provide free information - our Journal and Training Resource Boxes share reliable knowledge and advice to beekeepers world-wide.
Based in Monmouth, Bees for Development works in UK too, providing innovative courses, and running high profile fundraising events supported by our Patrons who include Monty Don, Martha Kearney, Bill Turnbull and Sting!
