WISER at Met Office
The Met Office (MO) is the national meteorological service for the UK. We provide critical weather services and world-leading climate science, helping people make better decisions to stay safe and thrive. The MO's WISER programme is a SWIDN member, and part of a wider set of International Development programmes the MO delivers. WISER is an FCDO-funded programme, running since 2015, focused on Weather and Climate information services (WCIS) in East Africa and now expanding into West and Southern Africa, and Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
The WISER programme aims to deliver transformation in the generation and use of co-produced weather and climate services to support decision making at local, national, and regional levels, building resilience to the impacts of climate change.
