Landell Mills is one of the world’s leading international development consulting firms. We provide technical assistance and management consultancy in the areas of trade and enterprise, agriculture, natural resource management, policy and governance. We also offer global monitoring, evaluation and communication services, as clients seek to better understand and communicate the value of the work they fund.

Landell Mills was founded in Bath in 1975 by John Landell Mills and others to carry out research and to provide management services in the natural resource sectors.

Nowadays, Landell Mills is one of the world’s leading international development consulting firms. Our mission is to assist our clients to participate actively in the global economy whilst protecting fragile environments and vulnerable communities in the process.

We aim to provide hands-on, experienced project staff for our assignments and to back them up with competent and responsive supervision as well as strong administrative and financial support.

Our experience covers natural resource and water management; climate change; markets, enterprise and trade; agriculture, fisheries, food security and nutrition; policy dialogue and governance.

We estimate that we have completed almost 700 projects on all continents, involving some 150 countries. We employ 30 staff at our head office in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, UK, and we engage numerous additional people on our projects throughout the world.

We are an active member of our industry association, British Expertise, and a regular winner of its awards. We are also members of technical associations or societies such as the Tropical Agricultural Association, the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage, and the Evaluation Society.
