For-Ethiopia
For-Ethiopia was established in October 2004, twenty years after the BBC first brought the 1984 famine in Ethiopia to the British public’s attention. Our objective was to work alongside the local community to help them advance education for girls and to provide access to water, sanitation and good maternal health services. For 15 years we have worked with our sister organisation in Ethiopia, For Development Association Ethiopia (FDAE). They are our implementing partner who work with the community to understand the challenges they face and then develop, deliver and monitor projects to address these challenges. The FDAE team has extensive experience in dealing with the Ethiopian Government, local communities and contractors to ensure the effective delivery of each sustainable community project.
