Wales and Africa Health Links Network are looking for someone with a passion for and commitment to improving global health.
Whilst experience of the health system in Wales—and knowledge of healthcare in low- and middle-income countries—would be an advantage, neither is essential given the diverse skills amongst our wider trustees. A keenness to build networks within diverse communities and to grow understanding of how race and culture can impact the diaspora health workforce would be welcome.
WaAHLN are keen to engage people with experience and the skills to lead the board in discharging its strategic and governance responsibilities. The successful candidate can also gain understanding of the role of a trustee through briefings when they start and with support from other Trustees.
