Network Coordinator

SWIDN are looking for a reliable, task-oriented freelance Network Coordinator to deliver the everyday tasks involved in supporting our membership. In return, we are able to offer flexible working hours to suit your wider commitments, the opportunity to play a vital role in a friendly regional team operating with feminist values, and the possibility to shape the role to include your interests and areas of focus.

  • Hours: 10 hours a week, up to 31 March 2026 (likely to extend, subject to funding)
  • Location: South West UK only (City of Bristol, Devon, Dorset, Cornwall, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire). This role is homeworking, with some in-person events in Bristol.
  • Pay: £16/ hour, paid monthly against an invoice. (SWIDN are not responsible for National Insurance or tax payments.)

SWIDN are the membership network bringing together people and organisations from the South West who are working to tackle global injustice. Founded in 2005, SWIDN has around 110 members and a wider community of 5000 people in the UK’s South West and beyond.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Membership Management

  • Oversee annual membership renewals, including emailing members, tracking payments and updating our records
  • Following up on new member requests to join, managing the onboarding process as required
  • Manage backend user website requests, including new member requests and member user troubleshooting
  • Respond to all member inquiries via email within 7 days

Event Management

  • Support with scheduling and delivering member events, including attending these (90% online)
  • Support our Communications team support as required
  • Record and organisation MEL data on event impacts

Finance

  • Work with Executive Director to ensure financial records are kept accurately, filing monthly invoices and recording monthly membership income

Governance

  • Attend quarterly board meetings and take notes
  • Support Annual Accounts process through filing and organising financial recordsand liaising with the Independent Examiner
