Event

26th November 2026, 2.00–3.45 (with optional time afterwards for discussion)
Exeter city centre – venue to be confirmed

Join us for a relaxed afternoon bringing together SWIDN members from across the Bristol area (open to anyone working in the South West!). It is a chance to meet others working in international development, hear about some positive changes at SWIDN and find out more about new member benefits.

This event is for the whole team — bring colleagues along to connect, learn together and take away practical ideas. Members are also warmly encouraged to invite local organisations that may be interested in finding out more about joining SWIDN.

We will be joined by an external speaker for an engaging session on the ethical use of AI in charities, with time afterwards for questions and conversation.

Programme

2.00–2.15pm – Arrivals, networking, tea, coffee and biscuits
2.15–2.30pm – SWIDN update
2.30–3.30pm – Ethical use of AI in charities – external speaker
3.30–3.45pm – Questions and general discussion
3.45–4.30pm – Optional breakout networking

Stay on for informal networking with others in a similar role. Choose from groups for Directors, Fundraisers, Programme Teams, Researchers or Under 35s — or feel free to head off at 3.45pm.

Come along, meet your local SWIDN community and be part of what comes next.
