Transform is working for a global system of drug regulation and control that protects people, and promotes peace and security, sustainable development, health and human rights.
To achieve this, we educate and inspire policymakers to explore and implement the effective legal regulation of drug markets. We do this by carrying out research, creating publications for dissemination worldwide on our vision of a safe world, and campaigning for reform alongside those whose lives have been blighted by today's poor policy of prohibition.
Transform was founded in 1996 by Danny Kushlick, then a Bristol drugs worker, whose vision inspired the world we will do today. From his front room, the charity has become sought after for comment, advice and expertise from governments, global organisations and the media.
We are entirely independent and are funded by donations and grants from trusts and individuals only.
