Location: Cardiff, UK
Contract type: Permanent, full time
Salary: £17,000 - £18,000 pa

Specific functions and responsibilities:

Information and process management
•Maintain an oversight of the UP Global Pipeline to support colleagues understand fundraising priorities;
•Support colleagues with global donor relations (e.g. EC; Irish Aid);
•Undertake risk management monitoring and support preparations for project audits;
•Provide high level admin support, including (but not limited to) donor registrations, project information on contracts, proposals, budgets and reports for learning and audit;
•Provide co-ordination and support in terms of grant management, including the review of donor conditions and helping to set up systems to manage them;
•Support the roll-out of UP’s new Bid Development Process, supporting queries and offering advice, as well monitoring compliance;
•Support Fundraising and Communications colleagues with information for specialist fundraising asks and campaigns (such as external public fundraising campaign with sporting bodies;
•Be the general point of contact for country programmes, signposting them internally and externally as appropriate;
•Any other information management tasks as required.

Programme fundraising and support
•Support the research, co-ordination and application of UK-led trust, foundation and institutional proposals;
•Support the research and co-ordination of UK-led multi-country/regional proposals/tenders;
•Support the Regional clusters with in-country led fundraising and pipeline development;
• Any other programme fundraising support as required.

Person Specification:

Essential skills and experience
•Understanding of international development issues (academic and/or practical)
•Innovative thinker able to demonstrate flair and creativity
•Excellent interpersonal and written English skills
•Computer literate
•Proven administrative skills with real attention to detail

Preferred skills and experience
•Track record of fundraising with trusts, foundations or institutional donors
•Experience of managing relationships with donors and/or key stakeholders
•Masters Level Qualification in International Development
