An exciting job opening with ILRI, Bristol (UK), using digital tools and data science to combat food insecurity. It would suit somebody with skills or aptitude for basic computer programming, an understanding of survey methods, and some knowledge of agriculture and rural development.
The initial contract will be for 20 days, with a 60 day extension if good progress is made. It is hoped that the initial contract will lead onto longer term employment.
The position is with ILRI who are a major international research-for-development institute, focusing on improved livelihoods through livestock. Most of the staff are based in Africa or Asia but this position is based in Bristol, with one other ILRI staff member; and the focus of the work is on agriculture and food security in general not only livestock.
