The Travel Foundation
The Travel Foundation (TF) is a registered charity working with the travel industry towards a sustainable future. Our vision is of “a world where tourism provides the greatest benefits for people and the environment in destinations” and our mission is to “increase the benefits and reduce the negative impacts of tourism in destinations”. To achieve this, we develop and implement tourism initiatives that promote cross-sector collaboration, build local capacity and enable the long-term incorporation of sustainable practice.
Our organisational strategy requires a shift from individual projects to larger, more strategic programmes with a greater emphasis on stakeholder change. Within this context we aim to support core stakeholders to: identify measure and manage the impacts of their tourism activities, embed sustainability into core policies, frameworks and operational practice, and share good practice with the aim of inspiring change in others.
Join our team
We are currently seeking to employ a Destinations Programme Officer (DPO) to join the Executive team at our head office in Bristol, UK. The Destinations Programme Officer will sit in the Destinations Programme Team which is responsible for the development and implementation of our overseas programmes and projects. The team comprises: Head of Research and Evaluation, Destinations Programme Manager, Destinations Programme Officers, a Destinations Programme Assistant, and Overseas Coordinators (based in destinations) to implement the programmes
