PMEL Working Group: 'Evaluation with R' - Very first introduction
Please note this event is only open to paid Members of SWIDN
Evaluation with R - Very first introduction
This will be a session facilitated by Steve Powell on 'Evaluation with R' (the statistics programme) - R is a great resource, infinitely flexible and free, open-source and very useful in evaluation, not just for statistics but for reporting, mapping, etc. The R ecosystem is enormous and it can be hard to know where to start. The aim of this taster session is for you to come away with just enough information on what R is, what it can do, whether R might be useful for you and if so, where to start.
This Working Group is open to all paid Members of SWIDN (or staff of SWIDN Member organisations) who are interested in, and/or working on any of the topics - Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning. This is pretty broad, covering everything from log frames and planning/reporting formats to hot issues like complexity and adaptive management. It should be interesting for NGO staff, as well as externals, e.g. external evaluators.
Please note that this is a bring your own (BYO) lunch event
